invited to view Moggs Creek in our perspective and share in the riches
of the discoveries of Sir Samuel Moggs.
Evidence
tells us that Sir Sam discovered Australia eleven years before Captain
James Cook but the matter was hushed-up because of the agreement between
the north and south English counties. This agreement was similar to the
Treaty of Tordesellas by which the discovery of the new world 500 years
ago was divided between Portugal and Spain.
Moggs Creek enters Bass Strait on the Victorian Coast between Aireys
Inlet and Lorne. The Photo below shows you the historic setting where we
believe Australia was first discovered.

The Sir
Samuel Moggs Society has these aims;
(a) The Sir
Samuel Moggs Society was incorporated in August 2005 and will aim to be
a gathering of learned, thoughtful and courageous ladies and gentlemen
who will seek knowledge about truths and legends surrounding Sir Samuel
Moggs and others who are associated with his discoveries and causes.
(b) The
Society will endeavour to support scholars who seek assistance to
enhance the goodwill and vision of Sir Samuel Moggs and expand on the
kindness and happiness which are inherent in those principles and
actions.
(c) The
Society will seek to support all constructive outlets which arise from
the inspirations deriving from the hopes of Sir Samuel Moggs.
The Sir
Samuel Moggs Foundation has been generously funded by the estate of the
late Gordon Gartrell Stanley and is responsible for the viability of the
Society.
