You are invited to view Moggs Creek in our perspective and share in the riches of the discoveries of Sir Samuel Moggs.

Evidence tells us that Sir Sam discovered Australia eleven years before Captain James Cook but the matter was hushed-up because of the agreement between the north and south English counties. This agreement was similar to the Treaty of Tordesellas by which the discovery of the new world 500 years ago was divided between Portugal and Spain.

Moggs Creek enters Bass Strait on the Victorian Coast between Aireys Inlet and Lorne. The Photo below shows you the historic setting where we believe Australia was first discovered.

The Sir Samuel Moggs Society has these aims;

(a) The Sir Samuel Moggs Society was incorporated in August 2005 and will aim to be a gathering of learned, thoughtful and courageous ladies and gentlemen who will seek knowledge about truths and legends surrounding Sir Samuel Moggs and others who are associated with his discoveries and causes.

(b) The Society will endeavour to support scholars who seek assistance to enhance the goodwill and vision of Sir Samuel Moggs and expand on the kindness and happiness which are inherent in those principles and actions.

(c) The Society will seek to support all constructive outlets which arise from the inspirations deriving from the hopes of Sir Samuel Moggs.

The Sir Samuel Moggs Foundation has been generously funded by the estate of the late Gordon Gartrell Stanley and is responsible for the viability of the Society.
