The Dangerfields
The Dangerfields were one of the earliest families to build on the East side of Moggs Creek - now they are everywhere. You see pioneer, Kevin Dangerfield, was the Royal Enfield motor cycle agent in Geelong. Here you see him at speed on his trusty bike.
You are looking at Kevin and his girlfriend Betty, just before they were married. Betty and Kevin had seven children - all of whom spent their richest days at Moggs. Three now live with their families at Moggs Creek.
This is one of the last photos taken of the Betty and Kevin, a year after they came to the 2005 Sir Sam Reunion at the Restarick home in Caulfield. Kevin died in 2006.
Here are two photos taken at Betty's home in Geelong. Betty and grand daughter Bethany proudly show Sir Sam caps.
Here are the happy two relaxing at home. Betty believes she once might have seen Sir Sam and Bethany thinks she once swam out far enough to see the
remains of Sir Sam's ship. We don't think it is appropriate to question these fascinating claims.
